Emergency & After Hours
Emergencies
In the event of an emergency, dial 000 and speak to an operator who can arrange an ambulance.
Often in an emergency, patients waste precious hours waiting for an available GP appointment. It is critical that you seek emergency treatment immediately if you experience:
- Heart attack related chest pain: left sided chest pain, often “crushing” in nature that travels to your neck or left shoulder and arm
- Stroke symptoms: weakness in an arm, leg or face or slurred speech
- Head injury: with loss of consciousness or vomiting or drowsiness
After hours Access
When the medical centre is closed, we recommend attending the Emergency Department of Frankston Hospital, 2 Hastings Rd Frankston 3199.
Locum Services
BPMC has an arrangement for after hours care with the National Home Doctor Service. If you require medical attention after hours please call on 13 74 25 and request a doctor to visit you at your location. A report will be forwarded to your preferred doctor.
